The gelation time is related to the temperature and the amount of initiator and accelerator added. When the temperature is high, the gelation time is shortened, and the amount of the initiator and the accelerator added can be reduced. If too much initiator or accelerator is added to the resin, the color of the resin will become dark after curing, or the reaction will be too fast, and the resin will release heat quickly and concentrate too much (especially thick-walled products) to burn the Fiberglass sculpture products and molds. Therefore, the hand lay-up operation is generally carried out in an environment of 15 ° C or more. In this case, the initiator and the accelerator are not required to be added in a large amount, and the resin reaction (gel, solidification) is relatively stable and is suitable for the hand lay-up operation.
